The Association of Polelathe Turners and Greenwood Workers was created in 1990 by a group of a dozen like minded individuals who wanted to promote the art of polelathe turning and greenwood working to the rest of the world.

We;

• publish The Bodger's Gazette, a quarterly magazine filled with articles from members
• hold a Bodger's Ball weekend at the beginning of May
• provide demonstrators with insurance
• support the creation and running of local and regional affiliated groups of members
• provide educational display boards
• provide banners for local groups
• provide bursaries for research
• sell APT merchandise -shirts, badges etc..

The organisation has a global membership of over 500.
