Think it's a brilliant design Dave, what's not to like? Have voted, hope you win.

If you want a flexy rattan pole let me know, got loads of em, it's peeled so will stain or paint white.

Going back to the pole dicussion, I use a bodgers muddle when I am out demonstrating. It always gets lots of comments and it makes people stop and look, the first thing you have to get them to do.

I have only made the one I use but if I can be of any help get in touch, we are not too far apart.

Don't worry about doing the craft justice. Most people know nothing about pole lathe turning and are amazed that it works at all. Turners will be glad to see some turning. The skew only digs in when there is a crowd watching, don't fret, they have no idea what is happening, or if they do, they know the same has happened to them.

Hope you get there, you just got my vote.
