anyoine recomend a good tarp suplier

Postby robin wood » Sat Jun 04, 2011 5:46 pm

I need a big new tarp and need to buy it in the next 2 weeks. Gudrun at her workshops has nice semi transparent tarp which I liked and she said she knew a good supplier who gives good advice but she is away for a couple of weeks. Does anyone else have recommendations?

I want something with loads of reinforcement around strong eyelets so I can tension it well and there is no question of them pulling out.

I have used these tarps now since winter and they are pretty good.

They have good heavy duty ones that won't break the bank.
The eyelets are reinforced, but I have lost 2 of the corner ones only because I had it up for prolonged periods in a really exposed site with strong winds.
I have the white heavy duty and it is really nice to work under, just enough shade but loads of natural light coming through.
They do next-day delivery.

I bought one of these http://www.tarpaflex.co.uk/acatalog/super-white-tarpaulins.html The eyelets are at 50 cms rather than the cheaper ones which are spaced at a meter. For even better security I bought a dozen of these holdon clips, which are really grippy: http://store.uktarps.co.uk/index.php?controller=category&path=29

Thanks for that both, they are clearly the same tarps and Richards supplier is currently having a 30% off sale on the flame retardant jobs I need. I had been thinking I'd get something a bit tougher but at this price I can afford for it to only do one season.
