Cherry log

Postby simon » Tue Nov 15, 2011 12:41 pm

A friend had to have her cherry tree taken down. She brought me a log to make something as a memento of the tree. It was quite old and looked as if it had been dead for a while. The wood was still wet and pleasantly soft to work. The surface under the bark was wonderful.

Hi Mark
its not so much the work but the surface of the wood I wanted to share. Its hard to improve on nature.
