Lovely, and a wooden woven seat as well.

What is pickled oak?
Just seeing this has made me think. I had left some chest nut pieces in a wheelbarrow, which had filled with water. The wood was submerged for quite a while and of course it went black, it looks almost like a scorched finish, semi matt appearance, highlights the tool marks nicely. Does anyone know if that blackness is permanent or will it fade with age and the wood eventually go grey/silver? If it does tend to fade, can you fix it in some way?
