looking for illustrations

Postby Baggy » Sun Sep 08, 2013 6:15 pm

Hiya
I am looking for illustrations that show wood overlaid with images of the treen that could be carved from it.
I need the images for a tutorial I am putting together for a friend.

Wille Sundqvist book has a few such images of log and treen not superimposed but side-by-side . Ray Tabor's have images of treen.

I know of no other. Can you get someone to sketch log profiles using Ray Tabor's books' images as a basis?

Thanks Gavin

I do not have Wille's book :-(

I will just draw some myself, if there are no images available.

Thanks again

And a lot of other people don't have it either. I gave about USD 90 for mine on Amazon - it's definitely big bucks. You could recently still get the German one pretty cheap for about 40 Euros - indeed I bought that to start with - but when googling for the image below, I see that too is out of print.

Sadly my German is not sufficient for technical subjects like this, so you - or anyone - are/ is welcome to mine for £20 plus postage. PM me if interested - at least Baggy'd get some pictures.
