Stock knife - would like to make, need info or model

Postby lgab » Thu Dec 29, 2016 8:29 pm

Hi - I'm looking to make a reasonable stock knife - the smithing should be doable but I need a good idea of the dimensions, curvature, thickness of steel used, etc. If anyone has a few detailed photos or doesn't mind answering a few questions about their favourite knife that would be very helpful

Regards

Contact Terry Heard Broom Squire. He is seen at some Bodgers Balls and makes a lot of tent pegs with his stock knife. He may be in Bodgers membership list.

Terry doesn't use a stock knife. he uses a peg knife. The term stock knife denotes a clog knife specifically the Blocker . I'm heartily fed up with the association not understanding the basics.
