Nice one Witt... Really wide though. Can you use it for bowl carving? Seems to me to be too wide to get a bite in.

Bowls...No, I don't think so.
Apart from cooperage I have seen those large coopers adzes used for making the inside of huge troughs in Hungary (was it ?). The rough work made with an axe first, the finishing with the adze in parallel lines of cuts.
Could be used for chairs as well.
