field maple

Postby emjay » Tue Feb 10, 2015 12:17 pm

I've just been given two 8ft lengths of field maple about 8 inch dia'. I've not used this wood before, and wonder if it's any good for chairs. I'd like to give it a try if it's tough enough. Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks Mick
