Hi,

You wait till the bodgers gazette comes out (around the 1st April) and fill in the form enclosed and send off. You can camp, we have some room for larger vehicles, and you can arrive any time from 12 midday on Friday

OK, we now have accomodation booked at a local B&B from Thursday night and fully intend to take up Mikes invitation to visit his site on Friday and take the opportunity to get a copy of his new book. Now REALLY looking forward to the ball :)

Now just got to get involved with stuff :)

Sorry folks. Having just completed the last chapter of the new book today, I have accepted that by the time all the other bits are completed, it won't be ready for the Ball but it will be at the printers and you will be able to get a tantalising glimpse of the contents. What - Mike Abbott letting people down at the last minute!!
Anyway, we're still having an open day at Brookhouse Farm on 6th May and I fully intend to be at the weekend bash, so hope to see you there.
All the best, Mike

Mike,

No need to apologise! More cash to spend on Tools instead!

It's going to be a cracking weekend whatever happens and the open wood visit is a great idea. Shame I shall be working on the site on Friday and won't be able to get to see the woods (this time!).

cheers

Blimey, they've started talking funny in Derbyshire all of a sudden!

BTW Bodgers and Green Fellows ain't a branch of Direct.gov so doesn't have to conform to the digital Tzar's dictats (I wonder what happened to him- probably digitized into a million pixels)

See you at the Ball with me pencil and two foot (Oh, alright then 3 foot for purists)

Aaaaaagh !!

My daughter's bought her first house and guess when they get the keys.
Sorry but I'm a removal man that weekend now.

Make sure you take plenty of pics and start an album.

However, plenty of opportunities to get some bodging done over the summer.
Also our greenwood weekend at Wooplaw (another shameless plug) at the end of May.

I'll miss you but there's always next year - a wee bit further north would help too.
Have a good one.

Sounds like you should get her to change the date of her move to me - or get someone else to do it.
Shame because I was looking forward to introducing you to a friend of mine from Berwick.
BTW next years BB is scheduled for Devon/Dorset Borders!

i am currently confused regarding rules about guests. do they have to be family members? are they allowed to camp/eat? or are they only welcome as day visitors?
i was about to post my booking form when some good friends (who will help look after my little girl) said they would love to come along

You're allowed to bring guests for the whole weekend - hopefully they'll have such a good time they'll join up.
They aren't allowed to enter any of the competitions or vote on them.

Paul,

Your guests can be anyone who you wish to bring, as long as they pay, they can eat, camp and I hope enjoy themselves. The only restriction, if it is a restriction, is that they, like your children and any dogs you bring are your responsibility.

This is in place to maintain the generally calm, respectful and friendly atmosphere at the Ball.
