my favourite Swedish carver coming to teach in the UK

Postby robin wood » Tue Apr 19, 2011 9:09 pm

When I have taught at the national folkcraft school in Sweden I have always admired the gorgeous spoons in the kitchens. I photographed most of them for my library of inspiration and found that most of my favourites had a particular makers mark, it looked like a fish but on closer inspection was FR. I later found out the maker was Fritiof Runhal and we have corresponded for several years. I am delighted that Fritiof has now agreed to come and teach a spooncarving course in the UK. Full details here http://greenwood-carving.blogspot.com/2 ... s-and.html

and here are a couple of examples of Fritiof's work.

This first course booked up very quickly but Fritiof has agreed to stay and run a second course October 5,6,7. I put the dates up on Thursday and it is half full already so if anyone else fancies joining us for this great opportunity shout quick.
