Axe making course

Postby Ken Hume » Sun May 31, 2015 8:14 am

I recently received an offer from Gabriel Granby [owner of Wetterlings and former owner of Gransfors Bruks axe makers] to host and run a week long course in axe making in Sweden during 2015.

At first sight this might not appear to relate to green woodworking however this offer provides course attendees with the opportunity to make their "dream axe" under the expert tuition and guidance of Lars Enander and Ulrika Nilsson.

Lars and Ulrika are expert blacksmiths with Lars also being a book author on tool forging.

Lars and Ulrika can be seen in action forging a log building makers bearded axe.

The viability of the course would require that about 10 people attend with full accomodation and meals being provided.

In the first instance please contact me to register your interest and receive further updates.
