Pearwood

Hi all,
My son got me some pearwood that was cut down today, my question is how long will it keep for and also whats the best way to keep it, I wont be using it much, no time for pole lathing cos I'm busy at the momment, but I also dont want to miss out on free wood :P , there is not loads just a few logs.

i just sling timber i may use in the future somewhere dark, damp and gloomy, normally it's easy to find such a place. in general keep the timber in as big sizes as possible, it'll dry from the ends so cut them off and it'll be mostly green.
