Travelling craftsman?

Postby Habe » Mon Jul 11, 2016 12:31 pm

Hello!

I cannot for the life of me remember, if I read it here or on Robin Woods blog, but there was someone who was traveling around UK carving spoons.

I hike and cam a lot and was wondering what was the minimal setup?

Something like: Pocket knife
Curved carving knife
1000 grit stone
A large knife or a small axe (hatchet - since my spell-check does not like axe)
Linseed oil (probably travel shampoo size)
....?

Is there anything I can remove from the list or should add?

Also what is the general response for shavings in public areas?

Oh yeah, thanks!

But still, any advice on the minimal hardware required and also the best all-around tool profiles?
