Freecycle as a resource

Postby HughSpencer » Tue Mar 27, 2007 4:32 pm

Slightly off topic but for folks looking for timber to make a lathe or green wood to turn or anything else for that matter, try your local Freecycle group.
Find your nearest one via http://www.freecycle.org/

Generally used for passing on things that you don't want to throw away as they still have useful life in them. I'm using my local one as I'm about to move house and have lots of stuff to get rid of that isn't worth listing on ebay but I don't want to throw it away.

Anyway, take a look and see what you think - its worth signing up to in my opinion.
