Green Woodwork by Mike Abbott

Probably the first book anyone considering taking up Pole Lathes should read is Mike Abbot's Green Woodwork. Currently in its second impression, it covers most of the basic "how to" of making a pole lathe and making traditional chairs and stools. Mike is an active member of the APT, runs courses on chair making and is very approachable.
