Applications are invited for the Cockpit Arts Award 2011 which aims to help an aspiring or
established turner i.e. someone who practices the art and craft of turning on a lathe in
wood or other materials, by providing the space and time to grow their business, increase
their profitability and develop their profile. We will therefore be looking for an individual
who demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit as well as creative excellence and craft skills.

Once again Cockpit Arts are offering a place to work in London for a year but you need to get your skates on!

With support from the Worshipful Company of Turners, we are offering the Cockpit Arts Turners Award for the third year running. Essentially the Award gives a turner free studio space and business support at Cockpit Arts London for one year. We hope this will be of interest to some of your members at the Association of Polelathe Turners– especially turners just starting out in business. I have attached a Call for Entries, the deadline for applications is Friday 21 June. Would you be able to help us spread the word? Either by forwarding the Call for Entries to members, or including on your newsletter/website. There are also details at http://www.cockpitarts.com/studios-support/awards

Any help is much appreciated.
Best wishes
Sally Dodson
