To liberate floor space in my shed, I bought a cylce hoist

So I fitted this in the roof of my shed and suspended my shave horse from it. It has yet to fall down.

Nice idea. Unfortunately I don't have exposed rafter or roof-space above my garage. My workspace is become cluttered and cramped :(. But all is not lost, having my shave-horse taking up floor space, I find that I am using it an as impromptu low bench (it is 6' long - the plan suggested 7') & chopping block - something Drew Langsner mentions in his book, inc. a photo of him using it as a low bench. I notice that Jogge also uses his shave horse as a vice, while standing up in his book - to bore a hole with a scotch-eye auger if I recall correctly. Perhaps the smaller English shave horses would better suit our smaller English spaces?
