Intro to green wood in Devon

Postby pedder63 » Sat Jan 19, 2013 10:56 pm

My first green woodworking course of the year is happening soon at
Flameworks in Plymouth http://www.flameworks.co.uk/ Students
would aim to make either a lovely stool or handy low table to take
home with them. Dates are 9 & 10 February. Though not specifically
designed for playworkers, this course will give anyone involved in
outdoor education, and with an interest in green woodwork, an
excellent grounding in the tools and techniques of this utterly
absorbing craft. The cost is £120.

I am just finalising details with Forest School colleague Dan Best to
deliver green woodwork sessions to three different ages groups of
children, from 7 to 17. These will be real practical sessions, and
are ideal for children wanting to get their hands on tools and
materials and just make things! Dates are on the website now.
