hazel for this winter

Postby Brian Williamson » Mon Aug 23, 2010 6:28 am

I'm looking (as always!)for a supply of standing hazel to cut this winter. It seems to get harder and harder to track any down each year.

Must be good, hurdle-making quality with reasonable access. I cut up to an acre a year but would be happy with smaller amounts. Preferred location north Hants/west Surrey, but I'd consider anywhere. My main source (in the Arboretum here at Westonbirt) is too earlier in the restoration phase to produce much other than bean poles and hedging materials.

I'm happy to pay good money for good coppice.
