Craig's List

Postby tomt » Mon Sep 06, 2010 2:43 am

I don't know if the same thing exists in other parts of the world, but in the States, a good place to source wood is Craig's List. I keep my eye on the Free Stuff section, most looking for tulip poplar to show up. I just looked at it tonight, for my area..and saw the following information:

Free firewood! Just needs to be split! One gum and 3 maple. Cut down over a month ago into lenghts. Take what you want but let me know when you want to pick up so I can tie up the dog!! Thanks!

Large Sweet Gum Tree already down. Ready to be cut and taken away for winter firewood.

Just had a bunch of trees cut down which produced 1+ cords worth of seasoned hardwood. They are cut into logs that could be easily carried.

There are other trees down on property as well..good for burning or making may contact me at xxx.xxxx

Those are just from tonight! I need to call the cedar guy. :)

Just an option for those that are in the states..or anywhere else that they have a site like this.
