Greenwood Required - Salisbury Area

Postby JermyB » Mon Oct 21, 2013 5:26 pm

Just moved to Salisbury with my Pole lathe and I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms. In my previous life I had a few contacts for greenwood but in Wiltshire I'm struggling.
I'm looking for some nice clean, straight ash / beech to make some spindle back chairs. I would be willing to collect and pay a reasonable price for any offering. Please PM me if you can help.
You can always take more off...

There is a chap - an ex-carpenter - with quite a lot of woodland very near to Salisbury, just south-east. He is currently clearing some old (and therefore very big) sweet chestnut from the old overgrown former coppices. I will try to find & forward his details to you. ;)
