Local Groups
The Association encourages the formation of local groups and provides insurance cover for all members while attending a Local Group meeting and also whilst demonstrating at a public event as part of a Local Group. Local groups have a character of their own, some meet very regularly, some less frequently and some run special activity days. Some have a fixed venue and some rotate round venues in the area. There is no charge to join a local group but most operate a kitty system to cover tea and coffee and the like.
Local Groups are a great way to meet local green woodworkers and extend your skill base. Look at the list below and see if there is a local group near you. Do get in touch with the Local Group Leader and find out what their activities include. You are welcome to pop into any local group in the country but are advised to contact the leader before you do to check when and where their next meeting is taking place.
