Welcome to the Shropshire Midlands group, made up of talented and diverse bodgers, we usually meet on the first Sunday of the month, taking the oppertunity to come together and share what we've been up to as we practice different greenwood crafts.

We were originally set up by Braun and held meetings at Acton Scott, along with Ian Wall. After a few years the group moved to the Greenwood Centre and from 2011 the nucleus of the group expanded from single numbers to meeting increasing to regular meeting with over 30 people in attendance.

The major cdriving force for our group was the late Tony Newby and its thanks to his dedication that we are today established and active not just as green woodworkers but a small community.

We also activly offer  pole- lathe turning and green woodworking demonstrations and can often be found at local heritage sites and community events.

We Welcome visitors but we expect regualr attendees to join up with the  Association.
